Lady Liberty Posted by Hello

A Post for Ladies & Gentlemen

Okay, okay. Lauren's right; I haven't been keeping up with my blog. I guess the last few months of my last full semester in college (does that make sense?) wasn't the best time to start a web log. But I haven't had much to write about.

I did find this fascinating article today, though, and its target audience is hu-MEN. So I ask any male reading this post: Do you wonder just how much physical aggression YOU have? You can find out by reading: Fingers May Point to Male Aggression. Just read it; it's good.

But that's not all. For more comments on gender issues, I'd like to write about something my mom told me tonight. First of all, she LOVES New York -- especially Ellis Island and anything that has to do with the immigrants of this country. So she was talking to me about the Statue of Liberty, and she said that Lady Liberty would be a good role model for women. You know, she's healthy and strong, not stick-thin or weak. And I thought that was pretty neat. Different (crazy mom), but neat.

Our World Isn't Going to Pot Just Yet

I just woke up from the first good nap I've had in a while. So I get up, check my e-mail (of course), and came across this nice article: "Family Flicks Outperform R-Rated Titles." Great, huh? Thanks, Pixar and Dreamworks. :)

This is What I Do at Work

There haven't been many phone calls to answer today, so I've been able to catch up on interesting news... So for all of you architects or designers (or whoever else, for that matter), here are some AMAZING pictures of the future of human dwellings. It seems that we are not so much headed for outerspace as we are our own planet -- we've got plans for houses in the sea and concert halls inspired by blades of grass. There's also a designer (Shigeru Ban) who creates buildings and furniture out of paper! (Read the article; it's good.)

My First Link

Hello, everyone! I've decided that the best way to make a blog interesting is to make it interactive. So the first link is to a palm reading site. Maybe it's silly, but it's also fun. Good luck identifying your hand's shape; it's tricky.

Hello

Hm. There's so much blank space here; how should I fill it up? Ever since Lauren started her own blog, I decided it was high time to jump on the blogging bandwagon... I don't know what to post besides fun and poignant (that's poignant with a hard 'g') links. This may be nice for friends and family because I'll just post links instead of e-mailing them all the time. I'll post pictures when I can (but NOT of Lexia's Gwen Stefani/Britney Spears impersonations), and maybe I'll say clever things once in a while... Until next time...

Tschus!
